The product is photo accurate, maybe the red color is a fee shades off but nothing obvious. I've started to notice Amazon seller raising their prices after they make a sell, which has made me regret coming back to Amazon. So I do appreciate this seller's basic honesty.
Just as I was hoping the case is a hard but flexible rubber and not a rough candy shell cover. Exactly what I was looking for!
I honestly didn't believe the stand would work all that well and I had made my peace with it, but it turns out the stand works great in both portrait and landscape even when using it in bed! I have seen other reviews warning others though that the stand can end up breaking. Poor design, especially considering that they use a metal rod for the hinge. These plastic nubs need to be replaced with a metal rod also.
In the end, this lasted three months of moderate use by an adult. I'd really like to find something else like this but made with a more durable support. Great case for my tablet. I like the little bit extra heft and thickness if provides. I figure if it's meant for kids it should handle anything I might put it through.:). A galaxy tablet cover that 'really' protects all sides, edges and corners of my 10.1 tablet. AND a case that gives me enough material to grip the tablet securely. For Me, the additional thickness is a blessing. My arthritic hands NO longer get cramps when reading Kindle books. I have another tablet case that also covers the face.
Yes, that's nice to this additional protection, BUT 'For me' it gets in the way, especially when using camera. This thick bezel on all edges adds approx 3/16' (in front of the screen). So you have plenty of protection. However, I also use a glass screen protector. FYI, this case is 3/4' wider than the actual display area. Total case width: 6.9' height: 10.4' thickness: 0.68' This edge stays.68' thick for 1/4' for excellent protection.
Then this constant edge tapers down to 1/64', where it meets the display. There's a 1/16' gap between this cover and the display area (on sides).
Vertically, a 3/16' gap from display area. The hogouts for bottom controls and camera at top are very generous. Overall quality very good. Everything fits well. The Kickstand was a nice bonus. Very durable, and works in landscape and portrait mode.
When pushed in the case, it only protrudes out 0.10'. Very acceptable, AND this gives you something to grip with one edge, when holding tablet with one hand. My only Complaint was NO instructions were included to show us How to take this case apart, so you can insert your galaxy tablet. That was very confusing. The Answer is - carefully pry off the soft rubber outer case from the inner hard plastic case parts.
Once started, you will see how to remove the red rubber case. Then carefully unwrap the inner pieces. The tablet then fits snuggly inside. Then snap the other piece over the tablet.
Orient these pieces to align with the camera. Now re-install the red rubber outer case. They're some tricks here.
You'll see long rubber inner tabs (inside the outer rubber cover) that plug into the inner plastic case. Once you get these all in place, the outer rubber case will be flat. Final comments. I love the raised control buttons. Real easy to find.
And this case's additional thickness makestablet easy to hold for long periods. Good job Tianli.
